SRC identified a taser ban at Umaine and the chapter hopped into action led by State chair Wyatt Ford. the chapter garnered almost 400 petition signatures on the small campus of UMaine. Supported strongly by his peers, Wyatt demanded the Umaine police department change the policy to protect the student body. on June 6th 2023, the school changed the policy systemwide to allow tasers on campus for self-defense.
