Free the 1st Amendment – Ashland University

The free exchange of ideas is critical for a robust and effective education.  The freedoms of spontaneous speech and assembly prepare students to face other groups and individuals in the world that will not agree with their views.  Providing the same rights guaranteed by the First Amendment of the Constitution benefits even a private university by producing graduates fully prepared to reach others with their message and stay strong in their own beliefs.

We the undersigned want less red tape and more freedom of expression at Ashland University.  We demand the university administration respect our constitutional right to free speech, expression, and assembly by adopting policies that fully align with the First Amendment of the Constitution.
