With esteemed non-profit executive experience, Lauren Daugherty has operated within the liberty movement for over a decade.
She started her career climbing the ranks at the Leadership Institute and FreedomWorks, then becoming interim Executive Director and Director of Development at the national Libertarian Party, where she built their fundraising and operations capabilities.
Throughout her career, Lauren has served as an executive, grassroots activist, writer, publisher, entrepreneur, candidate, campus organizer, church leader, wife, and mother of two boys.
Most important in her role as Executive Director for Young Americans for Liberty, Lauren is a staunch advocate for liberty and devoted to YAL’s mission — to identify, educate, train, and mobilize youth activists committing to winning on principle.
Recently, Lauren served as publisher and CEO of Texas CEO Magazine, where she worked with executives from across Texas to help grow their businesses and master the chief executive role. She also owns a small business, Evergreen Wrapping.
Lauren is a graduate of Emory University, where she was chair of the Emory College Republicans. She then earned two master’s degrees at Johns Hopkins University and the Institute for World Politics.
Lauren’s well-rounded background and exceptional leadership abilities bring a new chapter to YAL as we accelerate our trajectory for the future.
We’re excited to welcome Lauren to the team!
