A no-doubt brilliant plan

$900 million has been allocated to extend the Washington Metro system to Dulles Airport, reports NBC: “Tuesday’s signing ceremony between the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority clears the way for remaining work to begin on the first phase of the 23-mile rail extension in northern Virginia, known as the silver line.”

Never minding the fact that there is already a handy shuttle connecting Dulles to the Metro system, or that if the depression continues as it likely will the demand for flights is likely to decrease as people attempt to cut back on nonessentials, this is no doubt a brilliant stimulus plan, typical of the nonsense being passed off as economic policy by our government.
