Activism Report: Student Activities Fair

The Case Western Reserve University chapter of Young Americans for Liberty decided to start the semester strong by tabling at our student activities fair. We focused on handing out political quizzes and palm cards. Last year we had record turnout at our first general body meeting following the fair, and we’re hoping to have the same this year. This year our first meeting is Thursday, September 1st, so we’re hoping it goes well.

We had a couple freshman who had clearly heard of Young Americans for Liberty before and were quite passionate. However, the majority had never heard of us. Regardless, issues such as ending the war on drugs helped us to identify pro-liberty students. We’d like to thank Students for Liberty for their End the Drug War activism kits. They were a big hit!

With the help of state chair Abe Alassaf, we collected over two pages of email addresses, and handed out almost all of the political quizzes that we received.   While not everyone was interested in hearing more about Young Americans for Liberty, we were able to help show them where they lied on the political spectrum, and introduce many of them to the liberty movement.
