Last week at Arizona State University, Young Americans for Liberty hosted a Campus Debate featuring internet and television talk show host Ana Kasparian, television producer Austin Petersen, and writer J.P. Freire. The three each advocated for their own political perspective — liberal, libertarian, and conservative, respectively — on such issues as foreign policy, privatization of schools and prisons, drones, and many other subjects. The debate was moderated by Dr. Craig M. Allen, associate professor at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at ASU.
More than 100 students and members of the community were in attendance for the feisty debate, which saw many disagreements, as well as a couple areas of civil agreement. More photos from the event can be found here.Published in
