AU YAL raises money for charity

Today, American University’s chapter of Young Americans for Liberty took part in the first annual “Eaglefest,” a fair sponsored by a plethora of university-supported clubs and organizations. Members of AU’s chapter of YAL hosted and ran a soccer-themed stand, where students gave their all to score goals in exchange for prizes. Our chapter chose to donate the funds raised from running the event to the American Heart Association, and the event proved to be a great success.

In addition to raising funds for the American Heart Association, AU’s YAL chapter promoted our upcoming speaking event, featuring New York Times best-selling author Tom Woods. In addition to running his own podcast, Woods is the author of The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History and Meltdown, and whose work has been featured in numerous academic and popular works.

He will be speaking at American University on April 9 to discuss the Constitution’s relevance and application to today’s society. Our chapter is pleased to host Dr. Woods, and confident that our upcoming event will be fantastic!
