The Young Americans for Liberty chapter spearheaded the effort to bring awareness to the grievance of taxation upon the people of Regent University.
The issue of taxation helped create unrest within the American colonies that eventually led to the American Revolution.
This issue of taxation persists today as the tax code reaches 70,000 pages. These regulations are becoming an increasing burden upon the people, used as a weapon against other political groups, and stifling economic growth.
The Regent University YAL chapter advocated for Axing the Tax. We provided information to students on taxes and talked to them about reform. We challenged them to think about the issues on obtuse taxes and how reform can happen.Published in
