One of the most endeared traditions at Capital University is the annual “Back To Cap Week” celebrations which take place the first week after move in. This year our YAL chapter joined in on the madness doubling down on our traditional recruitment efforts. Something that added to our recruiting flair this semester was the blessing of a university provided organization house. The “YAL House” set our club apart from the other political clubs on campus and gave us a space to prep for events and host social gatherings. Making the most of our new club digs we held a “Welcome Back” rally to get back in the swing of things and to prep for the student activity fair. It was great to get the gang back together and see some new faces that wanted to get involved!
After getting our swag in order we set out to the first activity fair of the semester where we were greeted by a receptive student body. A multitude of first year students flooded our table, which was graced by none other than Ron Paul himself.
The tabling was an immensely successful endeavor and we were greeted by a major showing at our first regular meeting of the 2016-17 academic year! A sea of new faces flowed into our group we embraced an influx of new official members joining our chapter.
Coming off an award winning year it looks like we are geared up to make this year even better!Published in
