Ball State University’s YAL Kick Off

Ball State University’s chapter is off to a terrific start. Although we just were able to fill our PR Chair, we have so many things to be grateful for!

At our university’s activity fair this fall, we had dozens of people stopping by asking us about liberty! Several of these students have attended meetings since then and show real interest in the issues we ourselves are passionate about. We are so excited to welcome our new members as our organization continues to grow.

In addition, we participated in our university’s celebration of Constitution Day in collaboration with the Legal Studies Student Association and other political groups on campus. In total we handed out over a thousand constitutions to students!

Just this past Tuesday, we attended the world premiere of a BSU student-produced film on Adam Smith at the Liberty Fund office in Indianapolis with members of the Bastiat Society and the Economics Club. We engaged in stimulating intellectual conversation about Smiths’ works, On Moral Sentiments and The Wealth of Nations.
