Right on Constitution Day, Wednesday September 17, we here at Binghamton University built a Free Speech Wall to display right in the middle of campus. We passed out Constitutions and had good conversations with students freedom of speech.
We made a name for ourselves on campus, with hundreds of students approaching us, hearing about our chapter, and signing up for our emails. Walking to class, you couldn’t help but notice the wall and the crowds of people surrounding it!
Students wrote on topics ranging from spirituality to political issues and of course ridiculous, silly things. But hey, I’m not one to judge, this is to celebrate their freedom of speech!
Overall, a great way to kick off the semester and welcome the new freshman class, while starting the year off with a bang!Published in
