After a lot of hard work by our small chapter, YAL at Bloomsburg managed to finish our debt sign and get it up on campus. We found that it was a great way to communicate with students and faculty alike!
While we did not have the best weather, we did reach a lot of people who engaged in a good conversation with our members. Unfortunately, we were unable to draw the attention of the press, even after informing them of our event. We see this as motivation towards our new goal: To be persistent until people start really discussing our national debt.
While the “Visualize the Debt” week may soon be over, it is the long term message of fiscal responsibility that we need to continually refresh both on and off campus.
