Bring Them Home: Old Dominion University

Our chapter was able to participate in the day of action this semester with the Bring them Home event. It was incredibly exciting to be able to work toward the same goal with so many other chapters, and the energy during our event was buzzing. We had the opportunity to speak to many different students about the effects of war and how they viewed our continued engagement.

Having the service project was a huge draw for our meeting, and the service project was a huge hit by itself. Seventeen letters! That’s how many letter we got from individual people who wanted to write home to the troops. During this event we even go to speak to a student who serviced in Syria. It was amazing to see how even the soldiers themselves share our views on war. Overall, it was a huge success and I am excited to engage again with so many students.
