Can We Take a Joke at George Washington University?

Last week, the George Washington University YAL chapter debuted “Can We Take a Joke?” Both comedic and intriguing, the movie shows viewers the importance of free speech created by the First Amendment. Political correctness is encroaching on easily one of the most important rights we have as Americans. The screening was important because we wanted to show students on our campus just how important those rights are.

Demri Scott shows her enthusiasm for liberty!

We must not take freedom of speech for granted and each day we must fight for freedom, because we are only one generation away from losing it. Overall, the event was a great success and all the students who came to the screening became more aware of the importance of free speech especially on college campuses.
