“Can We Take a Joke?” Screening at Auburn

Last week, in collaboration with the national event, the Auburn YAL chapter kicked off its celebration of Freedom Day by hosting a screening of “Can We Take a Joke.” The documentary is a highly critical look at the ways in which the ever-growing culture of political correctness is threatening our right to Free Speech.

Concourse

Several of our active members took to the concourse sporting bright yellow shirts with Constitutions in hand in order to talk with fellow students about the movie, as well as Free Speech on campus and the ways in which it is being threatened. Concourse. As usual, our tabling sparked much interest among passing students with regards to both the movie and our message of liberty.

Screening
Our turnout for the movie reflected this interest, as we had an unusually high number of attendees at the screening. The screening party, along with our Freedom Day tabling was a tremendous success. We’d like to extend a personal thank you to all those who attended and helped make this event possible and look forward to the coming weeks’ meetings as this semester begins to come to a close.
