Clipboarding at Temple University

On the first week of the new school year, the Temple chapter of YAL walked around campus to do some clipboarding. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of students on campus who love liberty! We got a decent amount of sign-ups who are interested in what we had to say.

We noticed that two things caught most people’s attention: criminal justice reform and free speech. I’m very excited to meet with some of these new sign-ups and tell them more about what we do in YAL.

This year, our main goal at Temple University is to increase freedom of speech on campus. It is a public school, yet we have to reserve spaces to hold events and we can only hold them in the designated areas. Next week, we are planning on holding a Free Speech ball event to “get the ball rolling” on our fight for free speech.

I’m looking forward to growing the chapter and spreading liberty at Temple!
