CMU Students Celebrate Their #MOPrivilege with Letter to the Governor

Last Thursday, the members of YAL at CMU hosted a table in their school’s library encouraging passers-by to celebrate their #MOPrivilege.

Missouri college students are some of the most privileged in the nation, as the Show-Me state is one of only two states in the whole nation to have passed a law banning unconstitutional free speech zones and codes on college campuses.

Curious students were encouraged to put their signatures on an open letter to Governor Jay Nixon thanking him for standing up for Missouri college student’s right to free speech!

In the letter, we also thanked Jay Nixon for being a principled and liberty-living Governor. Soon, we hope other state legislatures and governors can follow his example and spread the #MOPrivilege to the entire country!
