The week of September 14 was a big one for GAC’s YAL chapter!
On Tuesday, we tabled at our first involvement fair since becoming a recognized organization on campus. We had very good results, engaging many people in conversation, both casual and intellectual, and had a total of 35 people sign up for our mailing list.
Our meetings officially begin next week, and we’re expecting a large turnout!
Then, on Thursday, we adopted the Constitution Day operations from the school. We tabled in the campus center with cookies, Constitutions, and a free speech wall. While the cookies attracted most people, a large number stayed for conversation about our organization and took copies of the Constitution with them.
The free speech wall quickly was covered with opinions one might not see in conversation elsewhere on campus. All in all, the week was a total success, and we’re just getting the ball rolling!
