Constitution Day at Oakland University

Constitution Day was an unusual turn for YAL @ Oakland University. We’ve had a run of bad luck lately, losing our treasurer (for a second time), thus rendering us inactive due to our inability to attend our organizational training, where both the president and the treasurer must be present.

However, we received a stroke of good luck in that our university desperately needed constitutions to hand out on Constitution day and, while not being technically active, YAL was on the forefront spreading liberty and giving the organization some recognition with a great many students who didn’t even realize they were liberty conscious!

We’re actually thinking of hosting an event titled “You might be a libertarian if…”

Constitution Day was thus a major success for us at Oakland University, and we hope to use this good fortune to continue to kindle the fire of liberty on campus.
