Constitution Day at University of Illinois Springfield

Some members of the U of I Springfield Chapter for YAL gathered to hand out and discuss the United State Constitution this Sunday, September the 17th in honor of constitution day. We started by going to dorms of students who we knew, handing out around twenty constitutions. Afterwords, we headed to the food emporium to see who was interested in what we had to say. We went to different tables talking with students and distributing another eleven constitutions.

Overall, we found many students who were interested in reading and hearing about the Constitution. We received mostly support from the students we talked to, many of which spanned the political spectrum.
