Young Americans for Liberty at the University of Tennessee had a surprise for students on Constitution Day this year: we set up a huge Free Speech Wall on the Pedestrian Mall!
First and foremost, take a look at the local media coverage that we earned. This was huge, as it amplified our message about the Constitution from UT’s campus to the greater Knoxville community:
Students from all backgrounds came out to exercise their First Amendment right to free speech. The only request we had was for students to not mark out anything that was on the wall.
We passed out roughly 300 pocket Constitutions and other literature to fellow students. The attention that our chapter received was amazing!
Students were not the only ones who took part in the event. We had visits from professors and even candidates for local and state office. Our chapter received great media coverage that also brought attention to Young Americans for Liberty’s national efforts.
