The Thursday before Constitution week, some of us got together to build and paint our Free Speech Wall. It was a great bonding activity that allowed us to get acquainted with our newer members.
Wednesday, Sept. 17 (Constitution day), we set the wall up on the Lower Lawn and grabbed the attention of a large number of people. We simply labeled it Free Speech Wall.
We encouraged people to write whatever they wanted, in order to celebrate the principle of free speech embodied in our Constitution.
Overall, we got a diverse set of responses.
We also tabled with GenOpp, handing out Constitutions and getting some valuable new members! Go freedom of speech!
