Young Americans for Liberty at the University of West Florida held our second-ever meeting right on the eve of Constitution Week.
Along with providing members free Constitutions and educational materials for themselves and other students, we had a group discussion among our all-new members of what they saw as the biggest threats to the Constitution. Members of all political backgrounds and persuasions discussed some of the issues the two major candidates failed to discuss, such as the national debt, sound money, TSA abuses, and civil liberties. The new members were excited to do a mock TSA patdown demonstration sometime in the near future. Right now, we are gearing up for campus debates, on which we hope to work with the College Republicans, College Democrats, Progressive Student Alliance, Students for Sensible Drug Policy, and several more organizations!
Young Americans for Liberty at UWF is a new but enthusiastic group of students who are coming together to learn about liberty and how to fight for it effectively. Constitution Week and the resources provided by YAL provided a perfect starting point for launching forward into effective Fall activism.Published in
