Concordia College YAL hosted a documentary screening of Deep Web tonight. We spent the morning tabling in the Atrium to generate interest and promote our event. Members old and new attended the event and actively participated in the tabling efforts.
Throughout the day, there was discussion of the political ideals that our members bring to YAL. One of the great things about YAL not being affiliated with any political party is that we invite different political beliefs within the group. Watching Deep Web gave light to a much more radical form of Libertarian views than what we are used to, but provided an interesting discussion piece.
Deep Web also provided an extended discussion about internet privacy that we began when we went to see the Snowden documentary last week. We look forward to this continuing conversation on campus regarding internet safety, privacy, and fair trails.Published in
