The Young Americans for Liberty at Duquesne hosted a successful screening of Deep Web on Tuesday evening. While the turnout was not as large as expected, the students who did come were extremely excited to hear Ross’ story.
Many students who came tonight had little to no knowledge of Internet privacy issues or libertarianism coming in. However, they left the movie thrilled with what they heard and saw, and eager to share their new knowledge with the rest of campus. Many students wanted to know what they could to to help Ross and his family, which was awesome to see.
Overall, the night was a success. YAL’s message and movement were spread to at least a handful of new students today, which is exactly what the goal of events like this is.Published in
