Fall Internship Round-Up

Whatever your preferences for a liberty internship this fall, YAL has you covered:

  1. Hill internships are now available with Congressman Steve Womack of Arkansas.  Even if you don’t find yourself entirely in agreement with the Rep. Womack on every issue, this is an excellent opportunity to gain a valuable hands-on experience in a congressional office and a greater understanding of the legislative process.  Learn more and apply here.
  2. The Institute for Humane Studies is currently taking fall internship applications for several positions.  If you intern with IHS, you’ll work in an area of your interest to advance liberty, live in Arlington, VA (where the YAL offices are located!), and make $10/hour.  Learn more and apply here.
  3. Law students:  The Institute for Justice is looking for a strategic research intern. IJ is the nation’s leading libertarian public interest law firm, litigating to defend property rights, economic liberty, First Amendment freedoms and school choice.  Learn more and apply here.
  4. Interested in filmmaking? The MPI Internship Program cultivates talented young filmmakers, screenwriters, producers, directors, and others who are committed to using the aesthetic power of film to promote the core American values of freedom, placing them as interns at companies like Johnny Depp’s Infinitum Nihil, Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions, and the Disney Channel.  Their internship application is open now.  Learn more and apply here.
  5. The Koch Internship Program is accepting applicants until Monday, August 15.  Based in the Washington, DC area, the Koch Internship Program combines meaningful work, career training, and networking opportunities — and it’s a paid position.  Learn more and apply here.
  6. You can work for freedom at the state level with a development internship this fall at the State Policy Network.  The SPN’s goal is to build a fifty-state network of free-market think tanks that are the most effective, widely respected and successful policy research and education institutions in their respective states.  Learn more and apply here.
