Despite the blazing heat and the massive construction of our student center, the Fall Involvement Fair at Colorado State University was a great success! The fair was located near the intramural fields which are a good half-mile away from the bulk of the classrooms on campus. We set up our table with the YAL Activism Kit and the Advocates for Self Government’s “World’s Smallest Political Quiz.”
Many of the YAL provided books and brochures were taken by interested students and even community members. A major draw to our table was the world’s smallest political quiz. This quiz attracted people who originally were about to walk passed our table but took the time to fill out the quiz. Generally, most students were surprised by their results and proceeded to engage in discussions with our members.
We were fortunate to receive help from other liberty-oriented organizations as well. We had help from members of the Leadership Institute and the Denver Liberty Forum. They were instrumental in helping engage the students at the table by providing different perspectives of liberty.
Overall, the event was quite the success. It was fun for everyone involved. One thing we noticed differently this year from the previous is we had a few students seek us out at the involvement fair. Just another result of the successes within the liberty movement. From all of us here at Colorado State University, cheers!Published in
