Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Students for Liberty Northeast Regional Conference at New York University. I had a great time reconnecting with friends from the Liberty Movement and spending time with activists and leaders. I also had the opportunity to hear from some of the brightest in the movement, including John Stossel, Larry Sharpe, and Bill Weld. I was able to obtain a signed pocket Constitution from Sharpe, and photographs with him and Weld. Sharpe’s speech in particular stuck out to me. He presented practical free market solutions to fixing inadequate government institutions, including schools and the MTA Subway. He is currently running for New York Governor as a Libertarian, and I hope he can bring some change to New York and national politics.
All the speakers I heard from were great, and all served as inspiration to do more, to go out and make liberty win.Published in
