Even on some of the strictest campuses in America, liberty can still flourish! The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, had its first meeting of the year. The meeting was attended by ten passionate cadets . . . and the chapter is only going to expand from here! Cadets were able to enjoy pizza and review the basics: what are the core tenants to liberty? In addition, discussion topics to steer the remainder of the year were voiced. Lastly, the chapter’s leadership was voted on; an official vote for president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer were decided.
At a school with the largest College Republican Society in America, starting a real liberty-oriented club can seem a daunting task. But after the positive reactions from today, The YAL@TheCitadel Chapter is ready to engage other cadets through activity events, tabling, guest speakers, etc. Every Revolution starts with a few embers.Published in
