On October 29th – November 3rd , YAL hosted Free Expression Week at Liberty University.
To kick off the week, we tabled with YAL literature on free speech and scored students on the political spectrum chart. Our tabling efforts garnered over 25 sign-ups.
Next, we rolled the free speech ball around campus. Students loved the opportunity to write on the ball, and it sparked meaningful conversations on campus about freedom of expression.
During the week, Liberty made national news for ejecting a pastor from the premises for wanting to host a prayer meeting with students. This contributed greatly to our conversations about free speech on campus, censorship, and students’ rights to speak out.
Exciting things are happening through YAL at LU, and we’re thrilled to be advocating for liberty while fighting against political censorship.Published in
