Free Speech at Wake Technical

The Wake Technical Community College YAL chapter contributed to promoting free speech on campus by having a discussion with students and a few faculty. The discussion ranged from whether or not you can yell “fire” in a movie theater, to inciting violence with your threats, accusations, hateful speech, and promises of reimbursement for any damages incurred.

Far and away this was our best attended meeting. Overall, students supported free speech  and enjoyed the free pizza we gave at the discussion. We were able to show students the dangers of having a politically correct culture on campus.
We hope to replicate this success in the future. Liberty appears to be making strides at Wake Tech. The plans to capitalize on this momentum are alive and well. Fall semester, here we come!
