During a cold and rainy day, the University of North Texas YAL chapter was warm and alive with free speech. Even with all the rain, we were able to reach out to many students that were completely unaware of our free speech zones. We wanted to show students the importance of free speech and how it is under attack.
The free speech ball may have stayed wet, yet the markings of true free speech reached out to all students. Students overall seemed excited to write on the ball and let their voice be heard. This event was a great success and we will continue to push towards changing our school’s policies to get rid of the unconstitutional free speech zone here at the University of North Texas.
