On Sunday, September 17 our YAL chapter took part in Freedom Fest at GWU. Freedom Fest brought together conservative and libertarian minded students on campus. This event served as a recruitment event because we were able to get more students on our campus interested in YAL. At the event, we stressed the importance of strictly following the Constitution, as it was constitution day. We gave out many free constitutions and pieces of literature to interested students. YAL officers had many meaningful discussions about policy and history which generated more interest in our club. We signed people up for our email list and created more buzz for our first general body meeting that will take place this Thursday. I’m really excited about our success at Freedom Fest and I’m looking forward to a great semester for our YAL chapter.
