Our Generation of War event was a big success. We set up in a common area, over by the new cafeteria and student center. From the get-go, people of all different ethnicities, ages, and political persuasions came over to see what was going on.
Many knew about the wars in Afghanistan and Pakistan, fewer about our nation’s continued involvement in Iraq and the other “overseas contingency operations” that the military is involved in, and even fewer about the various military bases in that region.
We gave the instructions to the ones daring enough to play the game, and at one point we had a group of almost ten individuals talking about the game, the wars, the quiz, and our chapter. Over the course of the week, we picked up at least 30 emails, and we are hoping to reach out even more in the future!Published in
