Giving out Constitutions

Today at Virginia Commonwealth University we are engaging our community with the principles of Liberty. VSU is a liberal school in which students are commonly engaged with liberal social issues. Today, we stood in the courtyard during a class changed. We passed out Constitutions, handed our books, and talked with people about issues from free speech to free markets.

Interestingly enough, there was an environmental activist group that was protesting Dominion Energy pollution. We walked up and gave them Constitutions. At first they were pretty hostile but we talked with them about what they believe. Once they mentioned how upset they were about Dominion Energy, we talked to them about why we believe corporate welfare is wrong and why the markets need to be free. In the end, they took some of the books we had and said they would get back with us after reading them.
