John Thorlin at The New Madisonian rightly sums up Michael Moore’s new film:
My understanding from the trailer is that the movie is primarily about the bank bailouts and seedy relationships between firms like Goldman Sachs and the government. What does that have to do with capitalism? The essence of capitalism is allowing firms to rise or fall based on their merits rather than having the government choosing the winners. A more accurate title for the subject would have been “Government Intervention: A Love Story”.
