For the final meeting of the semester, Julie Borowski spoke at Glendale Community College on April 28th about a variety of topics including free speech, free market economics, 2nd Amendment rights, and the pitfalls of socialism and government control.
This was Julie’s first trip to Arizona, and allowed our chapter to attract a large audience to come and see her speech. Thanks to the help of social media, as well as on-campus promotion including tabling and fliers in nearly every classroom on campus, we were able to have more than 200 people in attendance. Prior to the event we also had a free speech wall and handed out more fliers about the speech.
We also had several different media outlets covering the event, including a local podcast who conducted an interview with Julie after the event concluded.
The Leadership Institute sponsored this event, and allowed us to bring Julie to Arizona.
