At the University of Minnesota, we kicked off our semester strong! Our first meeting, complete with tacos and 6 attendees who had not previously been to any YAL events or meetings on campus, was a rousing success.
Our officers are working hard to coordinate our recruitment effort in the coming weeks, and we are applying for a large sum from the school to bring several prominent speakers to campus this year. Our general membership, in turn, is gearing up for a great spring semester, where we will work to get our University to adopt the Chicago Rules of Free Speech.
We have spoken with a former YAL leader from the University of Minnesota, who will come in on February 15th to conduct a mock caucus, so that students may learn about the caucus system here in a more structural way. We are also working with our campus’s conservative student magazine to bring John Stossel to campus.
We have a great semester ahead of us, and will be out in front of the game for liberty.Published in
