On Wednesday April 5th, members of the YAL Chapter at Longwood University took first place in the campus mock debate. Every semester the Politics Club, alongside the History and Political Science Department, hosts a debate between the political clubs on campus. Debates in prior semesters had been between only the Young Republicans and College Democrats. This semester saw a debate that included an extra podium for the libertarian platform, as argued by Longwood for Liberty. All audience members voted on a paper ballot after the debate was completed, with the result being a victory for Longwood for Liberty.
