On Thursday, February 27th, we had the pleasure of having Vermont’s Lieutenant Governor Phil Scott visit our campus. Students in attendance included people from our YAL chapter, the College Republicans, and interested students.
Mr. Scott spoke to the group about his entrance into the political arena, as well as his philosophy on how to get stuff done in politics. After this, there was an open floor for questions. Mr. Scott was asked about a few Vermont-related issues, such as Single-Payer health care and the current job crisis. He was also asked some less formal questions, such as his opinion of U.S. senator from Vermont Bernie Sanders and what good qualities can be found in people. UVM YAL extends a great thank you to Lieutenant Governor Scott for taking the time out of his busy schedule to visit us!Published in
