Membership drive at CNU

Christopher Newport University’s YAL chapter is getting its feet up and running. Today, we engaged with the students by passing out Constitutions around campus. We are working on gathering a membership by interacting with students around campus and surveying interest in issues such as free speech. The Captain’s Log, CNU’s school newspaper, has published a commitment to free expression authored by several of YAL’s members. We look forward to garnering more support for the statement from students, student organizations, and faculty members. We also hope to organize a free speech event to help galvanize this movement for free expression.
