Young Americans for Liberty at NMSU had a strong end to the Spring semester with the new War on Youth campaign! We used the War on Youth tabling kit at our last tabling event of the semester and received a lot of interest from students who saw the giant debt banner.
The debt pong game was successful in providing students with a quick break from final exams and served as an opportunity to educate them about the different crippling federal programs creating the massive $17 trillion in debt. While it is sometimes difficult to get sign ups as the semester comes to a close, we were able to get 10 students to sign up for YAL thanks to the new tabling materials! Unfortunately, some unknown person (Definitely NOT the person writing this post, no way could it have been me) forgot to snap some photos.
Later that evening, we had a great turnout at our final meeting where one of our members gave a presentation on the national debt. We had a great discussion about how it affects each of us as individual citizens, and how we can actively fight the War on Youth!
The end of the meeting was bitter sweet, as both of our co-founder/co-presidents said their last words as they move on to bigger and better things as graduates. They are both proud of what the chapter has been able to become in the years since it’s inception, and glad to be leaving it in the hands of such wonderful and capable people, who will take the message of liberty to ever greater heights.Published in
