This weekend student leaders from Pensacola to Miami are gathering in Florida’s Capital City. The Leadership Institute is hosting their nationally recognized Youth Leadership School on September 25 and 26. Students will be trained in activism and advocacy, while networking with students around the state.
Young Americans for Liberty chapters will be joined by students from Students for Liberty and College Republicans at Florida State University and other campuses. Conservatives from Palm Beach are bringing about a dozen members, as well as picking up friends at University of Florida and Santa Fe College. John Spagnola, the President of YAL at St. Petersburg College is bringing his most dedicated members to introduce them to the liberty network.

Young Americans for Liberty at Florida State University is excited to host the Leadership Institute and hope to host a second training in the spring to maximize our student leaders’ exposure to these kinds of opportunities.
For other chapters interested in hosting a LI training, contact a LI representative in your state, or email LI directly from their website! It was really simple to set up. We picked a date, by first checking the school’s calendar for major events that would provide conflict for potential attendees (for example: this training is being hosted on a weekend with no FSU football game). Unfortunately at FSU, there was no classroom space available for training, but LI took care of that and made arrangements off campus. For the Youth Leadership School, the Leadership Institute offers hotel rooms for students who travel over an hour and they will reimburse gas for carpool drivers.Published in
