Promoting the Right to Vote

The YAL chapter at Elizabethtown College hosted its first Voter Registration Drive on Wednesday, February 17th. Our chapter was able to successfully help around twenty people to register to vote in time for the Pennsylvania Primary on April 26th. The right to vote is one of the most sacred of our American rights. Our chapter was proud to promote this important topic, and help engage students in the political system.

Two professors from Elizabethtown’s Political Science Department came out to the event and discussed issues surrounding the election with students. The professors who came to speak were Dr. Fletcher McClellan, Dean of Faculty, and Dr. Kyle Kopko, author of The VP Advantage: How Running Mates Influence Home State Voting in Presidential Elections.

Overall this was a great event to have. We look forward to engaging with more students on campus and spreading the message of liberty.
