Quench Flint!

After a long hiatus, the YAL chapter at Illinois Institute of Technology kicked off its activism drive with the event ‘Quench Flint’, partnering with the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity to help those affected by the tragic Flint water crisis in Flint, Michigan.

Helping Quench Flint!

The goal of the event was to raise funds for the Flint Water Trust, and also to raise awareness about how bureaucratic falllacies let the events in Flint transpire. A total of $295 was raised. This event generated a lot of interest for the YAL chapter at Illinois Institute of Technology.

This was by far one of the most unique YAL events that has been planned and should serve as a torch for YAL to get involved in philanthropy. We hope to continue to promote our cause of a limited, responsible government that does not endanger the rights of its citizens.

With increased visibility on campus, the Illinois Tech chapter seeks to follow up this wildly successful event with a recruitment drive in the next couple of weeks.
