Rahm Emanuel…A Sticky Subject

Caught up in the recent “Sell the Senate Seat” corruption scandal of Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, President Elect Barack Obama’s Chief of Staff and right hand man Rahm Emanuel, is once again facing media criticism and pressure for answers; but this time, over something else ‘new’ that has recently come to light. As WorldNetDaily reports, “A former INS official who attended meetings with Rahm Emanuel when Emanuel was a White House aide says the hard-charging Democrat relaxed rules to naturalize even criminal immigrants and secure their votes for President Clinton ahead of the 1996 presidential election. He got every rule changed in the hiring of adjudicators so they could naturalize more Mexican nationals to vote for Bill Clinton, not to mention getting the rules changed to naturalize anyone,” regardless of their criminal background, said the official, who’s still employed by the federal government and requested anonymity to avoid reprisals.”

Furthermore, we find that the incoming White House Chief of Staff refused to even cooperate with the Justice Department Inspector General’s own investigation into the citizen project. Is this the kind of people we want running our government? The kind that will not provide proof of citizenship, or answer questions by the Inspector General of the Justice Department and believe that they are above the law and Constitution? I would hope not. We already had at least eight years of that with the Bush regime.
