The YAL chapter at Southern Mississippi held our first recruitment drive and it was a great success. We were able to get 24 signatures out of the 27 people that we talked to. We simply actively approached students and asked if they were interested in joining Young Americans for Liberty.
People ranged in their beliefs, but all wanted to fundamentally be heard and contribute to society. The recruitment effort was different from your typical tabling event. Building friendship and approaching students was needed to have them commit to signing up for an organization they knew little about.
At the close of the two hour recruiting effort it was important to secure a meeting spot in the library. The first meeting will take place on April 21st. Liberty is growing at the University of Southern Mississippi and its exciting to see what the future holds for our YAL chapter.Published in
