The newly founded YAL chapter at USM administered political alignment surveys to give potential members insight into their own political orientations. This was exciting to us because students participating often discovered that they held more in common with libertarian ideals than initially believed. We found the surveys useful at getting people to talk about their political differences.
On top of student feed back from the surveys, founding members benefited from hands on experience in student activism and event preparation. As a chapter we learned that casual discourse goes a long way in advancing liberty even in the most politically diverse environments.
Thanks to the help of our YAL chapter, we are poised to spread the flame of liberty one spark at a time.Published in
