Recruitment drive, August 23rd

On Tuesday, YAL State Chair Abe Alassaf and myself went to Hocking College to recruit some members for the new and forming chapter. We brought out our sandwich boards and clipboards, and managed to attract a fair amount of attention from students. Believe it or not, the college staff was completely unaware of our presence for the entire hour and a half we were there…

Most of the people that we encountered could identify with us on at least some of the issues of liberty. Many did agree especially with the idea of individual rights. The Hocking College students this semester seem to possess a primarily freedom-loving mindset.

All in all we got 25 signatures, and a few of those have volunteered to take leadership roles in the chapter. It was a successful event, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
