On November 3rd, the YAL chapter at Kennesaw State University had the opportunity to spend the afternoon executing a short Restore the Fourth event. Our chapter members had a great time taking on the role of government officials and handing out “warrants” to students passing by the table. The event inspired a lot of dialogue on liberty, security and the Fourth Amendment.
While we were only able to run the event for less than two hours, we were able to spread our message to more than a few faces. We happened to be tabling in a different area on campus than usual as well, so we were able to reach a new crowd of people. One student even decided to join us at our weekly meeting directly after, and we were able to talk to him in length about libertarianism and the beliefs and goals of Young Americans for Liberty. On the whole, Restore the Fourth was a very successful event and the chapter is excited to put it on again in the near future.
